A Prayer For Cleansing Space (can be used with smudge)

If using smudge, light, and allow the smoke to waft

Hold your hands above your head in homage to Feminine Energy:

Great Mother Who Gives Us Life,

I Welcome You Into My Sacred Space.

Cross your arms across your chest, paying homage to the Masculine Energy:

Great Father Who Protects Us,

I Welcome You Into My Sacred Space.

Open arms wide:

Great Mother, Great Father,

Join Me Now

Holding the smudge in a fireproof bowl face East:

I stand and face the East,

The direction of air,

Where inspiration and thoughts fly free,

And Winged ones soar to new heights,

I  welcome you to my Sacred Space.

Turn now to the South:

I stand and face the South,

The direction of fire,

A place of warmth, passion and energy

Where salamander slithers on belly,

 I welcome you to my Sacred Space

Turn now to the West:

I stand and face the West,

The direction of water,

Fluidity of emotions run deep, always changing, ever flowing,

Dolpins breath the manna of life

I welcome you to my Sacred Space

Turn now to the North:

I stand and face the North,

The direction of earth,

Stability, fruition, source of creation,

Bear reminds us of the healing power within,

I welcome you to my Sacred Space.

Return to original position, hold out arms:

This Sacred Space is cleansed.

May only positive energy enter for the greater good of all.
